Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef (Indian Cuisine) to join our mini-restaurant specializing in authentic Indian food. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience preparing traditional Indian dishes and be committed to delivering high-quality food consistently.

You will be responsible for daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and maintaining hygiene standards while working efficiently in a small, fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes (e.g. curries, breads, rice dishes, snacks)

  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet restaurant standards

  • Manage daily food preparation and kitchen operations

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with food safety regulations

  • Monitor inventory levels and minimize food wastage

  • Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines

  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth service

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Cook specializing in Indian cuisine

  • Knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and traditional cooking methods

  • Ability to work independently in a small kitchen setup

  • Strong time management and multitasking skills

  • Familiar with food hygiene and safety standards

  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

  • Physically fit and able to work in a kitchen environment
