Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Chef to manage daily kitchen operations and prepare high-quality food in accordance with the company's standards. The candidate will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, monitoring food quality, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to the company's recipes and standards
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency at all times
  • Plan and prepare ingredients for daily kitchen operations
  • Monitor food stock levels and inform management of replenishment needs
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements
  • Minimise food wastage and control portion standards
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen assistants or junior kitchen staff when required
  • Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and company operating standards

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef, Cook, or in a similar kitchen role
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen operations
  • Familiar with food hygiene and safety standards
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently
  • Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required
