Chef

We are looking for a hardworking and experienced Chef to join our food court team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking quality food while maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to the company's recipes and standards.
• Ensure food quality, taste and presentation are consistently maintained.
• Prepare ingredients such as meat, vegetables, sauces and spices.
• Manage daily food preparation and cooking activities.
• Ensure proper portion control and minimise food wastage.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and cooking equipment.
• Follow food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Monitor food supplies and inform the supervisor when stocks are low.
• Assist with menu preparation and development when required.
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Handle busy periods efficiently and maintain consistent food quality.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef/Cook in a food court, restaurant, canteen or catering environment.
• Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Responsible, punctual and willing to learn.
• Candidates with experience in Indian, Chinese or local cuisine are welcome.
