A modern Japanese izakaya concept blending traditional flavours with contemporary flair is opening soon, and we are building a strong culinary team from the ground up.
We are looking for a passionate and disciplined Chef who takes pride in precision, flavour balance, and consistency. If you thrive in a fast-paced, energetic kitchen and want to be part of a new opening, we'd love to meet you.
Execute and maintain high standards for Japanese dishes (yakitori, sashimi, small plates, donburi, robata-style items)
Ensure food quality, portion control, and plating consistency
Support menu development and seasonal specials
Manage kitchen prep, inventory, and ordering
Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards
Work closely with management on cost control and kitchen efficiency
Train and guide junior kitchen team members
Experience in Japanese cuisine preferred
Strong understanding of flavour balance and ingredient handling
Ability to work under pressure during peak service
Team player with leadership qualities
Responsible, disciplined, and committed
