New Izakaya Concept - Opening Soon

A modern Japanese izakaya concept blending traditional flavours with contemporary flair is opening soon, and we are building a strong culinary team from the ground up.

We are looking for a passionate and disciplined Chef who takes pride in precision, flavour balance, and consistency. If you thrive in a fast-paced, energetic kitchen and want to be part of a new opening, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Execute and maintain high standards for Japanese dishes (yakitori, sashimi, small plates, donburi, robata-style items)

  • Ensure food quality, portion control, and plating consistency

  • Support menu development and seasonal specials

  • Manage kitchen prep, inventory, and ordering

  • Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards

  • Work closely with management on cost control and kitchen efficiency

  • Train and guide junior kitchen team members

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in Japanese cuisine preferred

  • Strong understanding of flavour balance and ingredient handling

  • Ability to work under pressure during peak service

  • Team player with leadership qualities

  • Responsible, disciplined, and committed
