The Velvet Cut is Singapore's upcoming flame-grilled, dry-aged steakhouse where precision meets fire, and every plate is crafted with intention. We're building a tight, passionate brigade to bring this concept to life, and we're looking for a skilled Chef de Partie to join our opening team.
What You'll Do
- Execute dishes with consistency, speed, and respect for quality across assigned stations
- Assist in prep for dry-aged cuts, sides, sauces, and seasonal specials
- Maintain mise en place and ensure smooth service during peak hours
- Uphold kitchen hygiene, food safety standards, and organisational systems
- Work closely with the Sous Chef & Head Chef to refine recipes and elevate the guest experience
- Support training of junior staff and contribute to a positive kitchen culture
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a commercial kitchen (steakhouse experience is a bonus, but not mandatory)
- A solid foundation in cooking techniques
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a good attitude and a willingness to learn
- Passionate about quality ingredients, flavour, and craftsmanship
- Keen eye for detail, from plating standards to station cleanliness
