Our client is a well-established Chinese owner-operator with a strong footprint in the dry bulk market. As part of their commercial expansion in Asia, they are seeking a

Chartering Manager

to be based in Singapore, focusing on Handy and Supramax tonnage in the external market.

The Role:

This is a commercially driven role focused on fixing cargo and sourcing suitable external tonnage (not limited to the company's owned fleet). You will actively develop cargo flow and manage third-party vessel employment, optimising margins and building long-term market relationships.

You'll work closely with regional and HQ stakeholders while operating with a high level of commercial autonomy.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Fixing dry bulk vessels (cargo and tonnage)
• Managing chartering enquiries and negotiating fixture terms
• Liaising with brokers, owners, and clients globally
• Analysing market conditions and advising on strategy

What We're Looking For:

• Solid dry bulk chartering experience (Handy/Supramax preferred)
• Commercially sharp with confident negotiation skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable working independently
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin, with the ability to effectively communicate and engage with Chinese stakeholders.
