Job Description

We are an established player in the international tanker shipping industry,specializing in the transportation of liquid bulk cargoes across global markets. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a commercially driven and proactive Chartering Executive / Senior Chartering Executive to join our Chartering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing commercial opportunities, optimizing vessel employment, conducting freight market analysis, and managing relationships with charterers, brokers, shipowners, and other key industry stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in supporting the company's commercial performance and growth while working in a dynamic and fast-paced international shipping environment.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, evaluate, and secure cargo opportunities to optimize vessel employment and fleet utilization.
Negotiate freight rates, charter party terms, and commercial agreements with charterers, brokers, and vessel owners.
Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with customers, brokers, shipowners, and business partners.
Monitor freight market trends, vessel positions, and cargo movements to identify market opportunities and risks.
Prepare voyage estimates, freight evaluations, and profitability analyses to support commercial decision-making.
Work closely with Operations and internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of fixtures and voyages.
Manage post-fixture activities, contractual matters, claims handling, and commercial documentation.
Prepare market intelligence reports, commercial analyses, and management updates.
Support business development initiatives and contribute to the expansion of the company's commercial network.

Job Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience for the Chartering Executive position and 5 years for the Senior Chartering Executive position within the shipping, chartering, or tanker operations sector.
Good knowledge of chartering practices, freight markets, voyage estimation, and charter party agreements.
Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to evaluate market opportunities, assess voyage economics, and support commercial decision-making.
Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Prior experience in tanker chartering, including chemical and/or edible oil tanker operations, will be an added advantage.
