Channel Compliance Director

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the compliance liaison with external financial partners, ensuring AML requirements are clearly understood, implemented, and maintained.

Review and advise on AML obligations arising from partner and banking relationships, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Work closely with business, product, and operations teams to balance compliance requirements with commercial and operational needs.

Provide advisory on AML and financial crime risks for new products, services, and partner arrangements.

Coordinate responses to partner due diligence requests and manage ongoing AML-related communications.

Support the development and enhancement of policies, procedures, and controls to strengthen AML risk management.

Conduct due diligence and ongoing monitoring on channel partners, ensuring compliance with AML/CTF and sanctions requirements.

Review escalated RFIs from channel partners to identify unusual patterns or potential misuse.

Provide training and guidance to risk management team

Key Skills:

Strong knowledge of AML and financial crime requirements relevant to financial partnerships and correspondent relationships.

Proven experience engaging with banks, financial institutions, and regulators on compliance matters.

Solid understanding of payments and product infrastructure.

Minimum 5 years experience in AML, compliance, or financial crime risk within payments or financial services.

Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability to work effectively across internal teams and external partners.

Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business and product processes.

Business proficiency in English and Chinese (spoken and written), any additional language would be a plus.

Willingness to travel for business when required
