Certified Steam Engineer (West)

Requirements

• Command & Control: Oversee the safe, continuous operation of the steam plant, utilizing DCS and BMS to monitor parameters and ensure 100% emission limit compliance.

• Operational Excellence: Lead field inspections and troubleshooting efforts to resolve equipment malfunctions and process upsets before they impact production.

• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of boiler and plant operators, fostering a culture of high performance and rigorous safety standards.

• Strategic Optimization: Move beyond the status quo. Analyze steam operations data to propose and implement SOPs and technical upgrades that reduce costs and improve plant longevity.

• Regulatory & Safety Stewardship: Ensure all activities align with the Workplace Health and Safety Act. Manage the CMMS for meticulous maintenance logging and repair tracking.

What You Bring to the Table

Credentials: You hold a valid Class 1/2 Steam Engineer certificate registered with MOM/Singapore Polytechnic.

Risk Management: You are well-versed in high-level safety methodologies, specifically FMEA, HAZOP, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).

Technical Literacy: You possess a strong analytical mind capable of interpreting complex performance data and translating it into actionable maintenance plans.

Interpersonal Impact: You can bridge the gap between technical operations and management, providing clear advice on efficiency and process improvements.

Added Value: A First-Aider Certification and a track record of driving Safety First behaviors are highly regarded.
