Role Overview

As a Refurbishment Technician, you will be responsible for refurbishing, repairing, and testing analytical instruments-primarily LC systems-to deliver likenew performance. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Repair, refurbish, and test used LC systems to Agilent likenew standards.

  • Perform calibration, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities across instruments used in GMP manufacturing, utilities, and laboratory environments.

  • Collaborate effectively within a crossfunctional team.

  • Maintain accurate and complete repair documentation.

  • Uphold a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Review, follow, and help maintain factory work instructions.

  • Identify and propose opportunities for process improvements.

  • Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to learn and crosstrain across additional product portfolios.

Qualifications

  • Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred. Candidates with relevant higher education, specialized training/certifications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

  • Typically requires 1-3 years of handson experience in instrument repair, maintenance, calibration, or related technical roles.

  • Experience with Agilent LC, GC, and Mass Spectrometry products is highly preferred.

  • Relevant work experience in troubleshooting - software and hardware.

  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Demonstrated expertise with ERP Systems (SAP / Agile).

  • Ability to assist peers with complex technical issues.

  • Proficiency in Excel for data entry and report generation.

  • Understanding of bill of materials (BOM), part numbering, and product configurations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global team members.

  • Customerfocused mindset with strong selfmotivation.

  • Comfortable working in environments with shifting priorities and frequent interruptions.

  • High degree of ownership, diligence, and attention to detail.

  • Acts with integrity in all interactions.
