Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Commodity Trading(Minerals & Metals)

Department: Executive Leadership Location: SINGAPORE(Headquarters)

Reports To: Board of Directors

We are afast-growing, globally active commodity trading house specializing in mineralsand metals (including Chrome Concentrate, Manganese, Iron Ore, Bauxite, CopperConcentrates, Nickel, Zinc, Lead, Manganese, Coal, and other base metals andindustrial minerals). With a strong presence across mining regions in Asia,Africa, Latin America, and key consumption markets, we deliver end-to-endsolutions from mine gate to end-user.

Role Overview

The ChiefExecutive Officer will provide visionary leadership and strategic directionfor the entire organization. The CEO will be responsible for driving profitablegrowth in mineral and metal trading, expanding the company's global footprint,optimizing supply chains, and ensuring robust risk management in a highlyvolatile commodity market.

This is ahigh-impact role that demands deep expertise in international commoditytrading, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to navigategeopolitical, regulatory, and market challenges in the mineral and metalssector.

KeyResponsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company's long-term vision and strategic plan for mineral and metal trading activities.
  • Identify new growth opportunities in upstream (mining investments/joint ventures), midstream (logistics & blending), and downstream (trading & distribution) segments
  • Lead market expansion into new geographies and new commodities within the mineral and metals portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with mining companies, smelters, refineries, end-users, and financial institutions.

Trading & Commercial Excellence

  • Oversee the entire physical trading desk for minerals and metals (spot, term contracts, offtake agreements)
  • Ensure competitive sourcing, optimal pricing strategies, and profitable sales execution
  • Drive risk management policies including hedging (futures, options, swaps), credit risk, and counterparty exposure
  • Monitor global supply-demand dynamics, price trends, and macroeconomic factors affecting mineral and metal markets

Operational & Financial Oversight

  • Ensure efficient logistics, shipping, and supply chain operations for bulk mineral and metal cargoes.
  • Work closely with the CFO to deliver strong financial performance, working capital optimization, and profitability targets.
  • Maintain disciplined cost control while scaling trading volumes and margins.
  • Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, sanctions, anti-corruption laws (FCPA, UK Bribery Act), and ESG standards.

Leadership & Organization Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global team of traders, analysts, operations, and support staff.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture focused on integrity, innovation, and results.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, investor meetings, and with key stakeholders.
  • Report regularly to the Board of Directors on performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements& Qualifications

  • Proven Experience: 10+ years of senior leadership experience in commodity trading, with at least 8-10 years specifically in minerals and metals (iron ore, base metals, or industrial minerals)
  • Demonstrated success as CEO, Managing Director, or Global Head of Trading in a commodity trading firm, mining company, or major trading house.
  • Deep understanding of global mineral and metal markets, pricing mechanisms, supply chains, and geopolitical influences.
  • Strong track record in P&L management, risk control, and growing trading books profitably.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and established network of relationships with miners, processors, and buyers worldwide.
  • Thorough knowledge of commodity derivatives, hedging strategies, and trade finance instruments
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or relevant advanced qualification preferred)
  • Fluency in English is mandatory additional languages are highly advantageous.
