Job Summary
Lead the daily operations of the Child Care Centre to deliver a safe, engaging, and compliant learning environment. Drive curriculum implementation and staff development to foster children's growth and maintain strong communication with parents and regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of the Child Care Centre to ensure smooth and effective functioning
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and hygiene protocols to safeguard children and staff
- Manage children enrollment to optimize centre capacity and service delivery
- Oversee curriculum delivery by conducting regular lesson observations and curriculum reviews with teaching staff to ensure alignment with educational standards
- Maintain effective classroom and children management to create a pleasant and conducive learning environment
- Plan, organize, and coordinate centre activities and events that enhance children's learning experiences and community engagement
- Provide supervision, leadership, and targeted training to teachers and staff to enhance professional development and performance
- Ensure the Centre complies with ECDA licensing and regulatory requirements through regular audits and corrective actions
- Review children's progress reports and prepare newsletters to communicate developmental updates and centre news to parents
- Foster positive communication and build strong rapport with teachers, parents, and children to support collaborative relationships
- Communicate effectively in both English and Chinese to engage with children, parents, and staff in a bilingual learning environment
Required competencies and certifications
- Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Leadership (ADECL)
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Higher Tertiary Education qualifications in related fields
- Minimum 8 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Proven leadership experience with resilience to overcome challenges and drive team success
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with dedication and motivation to achieve excellence
