Junior Champs Preschool is an established early childhood education service provider providing child care services for children from 18 months to 6 years old. We believe that every child is a champion in his / her own way and given the opportunity and guidance, they will excel and realise their true potential. At Junior Champs, we adopt a thematic based, bilingual integrated pre-school curriculum with a balanced selection of enrichment programmes such as Phonics, Art, Gym and Multi-Sports as our core Childcare Programme. Our centres are located at Hougang Green Shopping Mall, Kovan Heartland Mall and 18 Tai Seng.

Job Summary

Lead the daily operations of the Child Care Centre to deliver a safe, engaging, and compliant learning environment. Drive curriculum implementation and staff development to foster children's growth and maintain strong communication with parents and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily operations of the Child Care Centre to ensure smooth and effective functioning
  • Implement and monitor health, safety, and hygiene protocols to safeguard children and staff
  • Manage children enrollment to optimize centre capacity and service delivery
  • Oversee curriculum delivery by conducting regular lesson observations and curriculum reviews with teaching staff to ensure alignment with educational standards
  • Maintain effective classroom and children management to create a pleasant and conducive learning environment
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate centre activities and events that enhance children's learning experiences and community engagement
  • Provide supervision, leadership, and targeted training to teachers and staff to enhance professional development and performance
  • Ensure the Centre complies with ECDA licensing and regulatory requirements through regular audits and corrective actions
  • Review children's progress reports and prepare newsletters to communicate developmental updates and centre news to parents
  • Foster positive communication and build strong rapport with teachers, parents, and children to support collaborative relationships
  • Communicate effectively in both English and Chinese to engage with children, parents, and staff in a bilingual learning environment

Required competencies and certifications

  • Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Leadership (ADECL)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Higher Tertiary Education qualifications in related fields
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator demonstrating leadership capabilities
  • Proven leadership experience with resilience to overcome challenges and drive team success
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with dedication and motivation to achieve excellence
