Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and organized Central Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and consistency, and manage production workflows. Responsibilities
- Lead daily central kitchen operations to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Oversee food preparation, portioning, and packaging to meet company standards and ensure consistent quality
- Maintain uniform taste, presentation, and quality across all outlets through quality control measures
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate timely ordering of ingredients to prevent shortages
- Enforce compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations to uphold health standards
- Train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain a skilled and motivated team
- Collaborate with chefs and management to plan menus and implement process improvements
- Monitor kitchen equipment condition and report maintenance needs promptly to avoid disruptions
- Implement cost control strategies and minimize food wastage to optimize operational expenses
Required competencies and certifications
- Proven experience as a kitchen supervisor or in a similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques applied in daily kitchen operations
- Leadership and team management skills to effectively guide kitchen staff
- Good understanding of food safety standards and HACCP practices to ensure regulatory compliance
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage workflows and resolve issues
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by operational demands
