We are seeking a skilled and passionate CDP / Sous Chef to support daily kitchen operations and maintain high culinary standards. The ideal candidate will have strong operational experience, leadership capabilities, and a keen eye for food quality, cost control, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring dishes are prepared accurately, consistently, and delivered promptly during service.
- Manage food cost performance by minimizing wastage, monitoring portion control, and optimizing ingredient usage.
- Conduct regular quality checks and make real-time adjustments to uphold culinary standards.
- Oversee stock control and inventory management to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Support purchasing and receiving processes, ensuring quality and compliance of all deliveries.
- Enforce food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards, including proper storage and handling practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained kitchen environment.
- Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure optimal manpower planning.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development and seasonal offerings.
- Lead kitchen training initiatives and ensure team competency.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching to maintain operational excellence.
- Represent the kitchen in management meetings, conduct daily briefings, and support strong team communication.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CDP, Sous Chef, or similar kitchen leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and inventory management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Passion for culinary innovation and continuous improvement.
