Job Description

. Diploma in Information Technology or relevant field.
. Candidate with no relevant working experience welcome to apply, with comprehensive training provided.
. Prior experience in application support role will be an advantage.
. Banking or Financial domain knowledge is an advantage.
. Operating System knowledge: Linux / Solaris / AIX is an advantage.
. Conversant with SQL.
. Knowledge of Shell scripting and Jobscheduling.

Responsibilities
. Incident Management and Reporting
. Recovery coordinator for involving the right parties and recording of chronological events
. Point of escalation for support staff or management
. Review all daily activities and ensure completion of shift duties for each team and proper handover
. Monitoring and recovery of batch jobs
. Perform health checks and alert management.
. Coordinate DR testing.
. Consolidate and analyse management reports for presentation.
. Implement continuous improvements through automation tools, SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles.
. Perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved by the application team.
. Ensure proper guidance, training and mentoring are given to new staff.
. Lead formal and informal Post Event Problem Reviews (PEPRs) with platform support teams.
. Ensures on-time communication to stakeholders on application issues.
. Facilitate and manage business/operations communication during critical issues.
