We are seeking a commercially driven and analytical Category Manager to lead the growth and performance of our assigned product categories. In this role, you will develop category strategies, optimise product assortments, drive sales and profitability, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver strong business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category strategies to drive sales, profitability, and market growth.
  • Manage product assortment, pricing, promotions, and product lifecycle.
  • Analyse market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
  • Monitor category performance, sales forecasts, inventory levels, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to achieve category objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and support commercial negotiations.
  • Drive new product launches and continuous category improvements through data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Food Science, or a related discipline.
  • 5-8 years experience in Category Management, Product Management, Sales, Procurement, or a related commercial role.
  • Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, retail, or distribution is highly preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
