Category Manager - Electronics

As a Category Manager, you will ensure optimal selection of vendors and technologies in line with time to market expectations, category sourcing strategies and cost targets. This global role reports directly to the Director of Strategic Procurement.You will lead a global category of Electronics - specifically transducers, electronics, box build for up to EUR 100 Mio of annual spend.

• Ensure visibility and alignment linked to the following activities: time to market, target costs, introduction of new platforms and technologies, supplier selection, risk mitigation through NPI till launch, alignment to category sourcing strategies
• Manage the full supplier lifecycle, including selection, qualification, evaluation, development, and phase-out processes
• Drive cost-saving initiatives through contractnegotiation, value engineering, productivity improvements, benchmarking, and cost model analysis
• Identification of alternative vendors to optimize cost and or reduce risk
• Effective engagement with a complex mix of senior stakeholders within the R&D leaders globally.

Experience & Personal Competencies

• 5-10 years of relevant experience working as a Category Manager or equivalent
• Technical and cost driver knowledge in direct materialswithin the electronics category
• Drive, determination and high standards. Resilience, high energy and a can-do attitude
• Excellent communication skills to clearly demonstrate and explain technical opportunities
• Ability to work and manage external vendors to deliver results within designated timelines
• Strategic mindset, results-oriented, accountable, takes responsibility and leads by example.
