The Opportunity:
Adecco is partnering with a leading manufacturing business, and we are looking for a Category Manager to drive category strategies across electrical and mechatronics components, with a focus on cable assemblies and electrical OEM parts. This role works closely with Engineering and Operations to ensure cost, quality, and supply continuity.
The Job:
- Develop and execute category strategies to drive cost optimization, quality, and supply security
- Manage sourcing for electrical components (e.g. cable assemblies, connectors, OEM parts)
- Conduct market analysis to identify cost drivers, supplier capabilities, and sourcing opportunities
- Drive supplier development, qualification, and performance improvement
- Support NPI and production transfer, ensuring supplier readiness and on-time delivery
- Lead RFQs, contract negotiations, and cost reduction initiatives (incl. should-cost analysis)
- Build and manage a global supplier base, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to align sourcing with technical requirements
- Monitor supplier performance, risks, and KPIs
The Talent:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain
- Min. 5 years of strategic sourcing experience in manufacturing environment
- Strong experience managing electrical/mechatronics commodities, especially: Cable assemblies, Connectors / harnesses, Electrical OEM components
- Experience working closely with Engineering on technical specifications / drawings (GD&T, BOM)
- Hands-on in supplier development, cost modelling, and contract negotiation
- Familiar with TCO, should-cost analysis, and value engineering (VA/VE)
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work cross-functionally
