Job Responsibilities:

New Business Development

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and acquire new commercial banking clients within target market segments of the Middle Market, Corporate, Specialty Industries.
  • Acquire new and manage portfolio of high deposits/revenue corporate customers, driving deposit growth and revenue performance
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed assigned goals.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve key business targets

Cross Selling

  • Cross selling of Transaction Banking Cash and Trade solutions & Treasury services such as Foreign Exchange (FX) and Structured Deposits.
  • Serve as the primary cash management consultant for a portfolio of existing commercial clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive treasury and cash flow analyses to identify client needs, pain points, and opportunities for solution expansion.
  • Display knowledge in Trade Finance products
  • Improve client's product holdings
  • Strengthen client loyalty and increase wallet share through regular business reviews and proactive service.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive business acquisitions and expand opportunities.
  • Structure and present customized cash management proposals, including detailed cost-benefit analysis and ROI.

Risk Management

  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews, ensuring smooth onboarding, due diligence, and KYC compliance.
  • Prompt and concise reply on Compliance related Request for Information

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal product specialists and implementation teams to design commercial solutions (e.g., ACH, Wire Transfer, Merchant Services, API integrations).
  • Effectively articulate the value proposition of our cash management products against competitors.
  • Provide voice-of-the-customer feedback to product development teams to help shape future offerings.

Industry & Market Expertise

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting treasury management.
  • Represent CIMB at industry conferences and networking events.

Others

  • Conduct discovery calls and client-facing meetings to assess cash management needs.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate pricing and service agreements within established guidelines.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to post-implementation follow-up.
  • Accurately track all sales activities and client interactions in the system
  • Ensure all documentation and KYC/AML requirements are completed accurately and timely.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial banking, specifically in cash management sales, trade finance and treasury management sales, or as a commercial relationship manager with a strong focus on selling depository and cash management solutions.
  • Proven and documented track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Expert-level knowledge of cash management products and services (e.g., ACH, Wires, Online Banking platforms, robust due dilligence skillset).
  • Strong understanding of corporate financial statements and working capital concepts.
