Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter worker role based in Singapore. The Carpenter will perform day-to-day tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials for structural frameworks, fixtures, and fittings. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, installing doors, windows, cabinets, and other fittings, and ensuring that all work meets safety standards and quality specifications. The role involves using hand and power tools, maintaining a clean and safe work area, collaborating with other trades on-site, and following project timelines and instructions from supervisors.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and measurements accurately.
- Proficiency in carpentry techniques, including framing, installation of doors and windows, fitting cabinetry, and finishing work.
- Skilled in the safe use and maintenance of carpentry tools and equipment, including hand tools and power tools.
- Strong awareness of workplace safety practices, ability to follow safety protocols, and adherence to local building regulations.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing or working at heights.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, colleagues, and other trades on-site.
- Previous experience as a Carpenter or in a related construction role; formal trade certification or relevant vocational training is an advantage.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks independently while meeting project deadlines.
