Carpenter Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate carpentry works at construction sites to ensure timely completion of projects.

Plan, assign and monitor the daily work of carpentry teams and subcontractors.

Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and work schedules to ensure works are carried out accurately.

Inspect carpentry works, including formwork, timber structures, doors, partitions, ceilings and other related installations, to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, consultants and other trades to ensure smooth site operations.

Monitor material usage and arrange for the procurement of carpentry materials and tools when required.

Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, company policies and site requirements.

Conduct site inspections, identify issues and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Train and guide junior carpenters and site workers on proper work methods and safety procedures.

Prepare work progress reports and perform other duties assigned by the management.

Job Requirements

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, with experience supervising carpentry or site works.

Good knowledge of construction methods, formwork systems and carpentry installation works.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.

Strong leadership, communication and coordination skills.

Familiar with Singapore construction safety requirements and site practices.

Able to work independently and manage multiple site activities.

Proficient in English or Mandarin to communicate with project teams and stakeholders.
