Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to perform carpentry works, including cutting, fabricating, assembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures and fixtures. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, read technical drawings, and complete projects safely and efficiently while meeting customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Take accurate measurements and calculate material requirements.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and install wood, plywood, fiberglass, and other materials.
- Construct and install doors, window frames, staircases, partitions, cabinets, furniture, and other wooden structures.
- Install flooring, roofing, drywall, and other carpentry components, ensuring proper alignment and quality.
- Carry out repair, renovation, and maintenance works on existing structures.
- Build and dismantle scaffolding and temporary construction structures when required.
- Operate electrical and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite while complying with workplace safety regulations.
- Complete assigned projects within the required timeline and quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Carpenter.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, construction methods, and installation practices.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and construction plans.
- Skilled in using manual and power tools, including saws, drills, hammers, routers, and measuring equipment.
- Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to work night shifts, weekends (including Sundays), and public holidays when required.
- Must be flexible to work overtime and irregular/odd working hours based on operational and customer requirements.
- Willing to work at various project sites across Singapore.
