As a Cargo flow Intern, you will have the opportunity to discover the world of global shipping and logistics while supporting our Cargo Flow team in daily operations. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in vessel planning, cargo flow management, and equipment coordination. You will work closely with different departments such as Trade, Operations, and Sales, and gain valuable exposure to how cargo is efficiently moved across our international network.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring vessel utilization and analyzing booking trends to ensure smooth cargo flow.
- Help prepare and maintain reports that support daily decision-making and performance reviews.
- Support the team in space allocation and equipment repositioning tasks.
- Contribute to finding practical solutions when unexpected disruptions occur, such as port omissions or shipment delays.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure containers are properly connected to their final destinations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Student or recent graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Strong interest in the shipping and logistics industry, with a willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (basic formulas required; Pivot Tables an advantage).
- Curious and detail-minded, with good communication skills and a team spirit.
