Job Description: Career Coach
Position Overview
The Career Coach plays a pivotal role in supporting Trainees through their career transition journey. The role focuses on equipping individuals with essential employability skills, personalized career strategies, and continuous motivation to achieve successful employment outcomes. The Career Coach works closely with learners, employers, and internal teams to ensure that each learner maximizes their potential and progresses towards sustainable career opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Career Coaching & Advisory
- Conduct one-to-one career coaching sessions to understand learners career goals, strengths, and challenges.
- Develop personalized career development roadmaps for learners, aligning with industry trends and employment opportunities.
- Provide guidance on job search strategies, CV/resume preparation, interview techniques, and personal branding.
2. Training & Facilitation
- Deliver employability workshops covering topics such as job search strategy, digital career tools, and workplace readiness.
- Facilitate group coaching, peer-learning circles, and role-play simulations to enhance learners confidence.
- Support learners in leveraging new technologies (e.g., LinkedIn, AI job tools) to improve job-seeking effectiveness.
3. Employer & Industry Engagement
- Collaborate with employers to identify job opportunities and match suitable learners.
- Prepare learners for employer networking events, career fairs, and interviews.
- Provide feedback loops to align training with employer expectations and market demands.
4. Monitoring & Reporting
- Track learners career progress, employment outcomes, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Document coaching sessions and maintain accurate learner records for compliance and funding requirements.
- Identify at-risk learners and implement intervention strategies to keep them engaged.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in career coaching, training, recruitment, or talent development.
- Strong knowledge of job search techniques, employability frameworks, and labor market trends, particularly in the Tech sector
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
- Proficient in using digital career tools (AI Resume builder, Interview tools, Tech assessment portals).
- Experience working with mid-career professionals or adult learners.
