We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Tyre Technician to join our service team. You will be responsible for the primary maintenance of vehicle wheels and tyres, ensuring that every vehicle leaves the shop meeting safety standards. This role requires physical stamina, technical precision, and a commitment to providing efficient service in a fast-paced environment.
Tyre Servicing: Perform professional mounting, demounting, and installation of tyres on various vehicle types (passenger cars, SUVs, and light commercials).
Balancing & Alignment: Operate wheel balancing machines to eliminate vibration and perform 3D wheel alignments to ensure even tyre wear and vehicle stability.
Repair & Maintenance: Inspect tyres for punctures, cracks, or tread wear. Perform safe plug/patch repairs according to industry safety standards.
Technical Inspections: Assess brake pads, suspension components, and wheel rims for damage or wear, reporting any safety concerns to the supervisor or customer.
Equipment Upkeep: Maintain and calibrate workshop machinery, including tyre changers, lifts, and pneumatic tools, ensuring a clean and safe workspace.
Inventory & Documentation: Assist in managing stock levels (tyres, weights, valves) and accurately record service details on job sheets.
Experience: Prior experience in a tyre shop or automotive workshop is preferred. Entry-level candidates with a strong willingness to learn are welcome for junior positions.
Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with operating manual and semi-automatic tyre changing machines. Experience with high-performance or Run-Flat tyres is a plus.
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy wheels and stand for extended periods in a workshop environment.
Work Ethic: Punctual, disciplined, and capable of working effectively under pressure during peak periods.
License: A valid Class 3 driving license (for moving customer vehicles) is highly advantageous.
Performance bonuses or commission based on job volume.
Overtime pay (OT) for peak periods or weekend shifts.
On-the-job training for advanced diagnostic equipment and wheel alignment systems.
Provision of safety gear and uniform.
