About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and resourcefulCalypso Application Support Programmerto join our team. This role focuses on defining and implementing application monitoring solutions, providing Level 2 support for Calypso applications, and managing incidents and requests to ensure operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Calypso version 16, a solid understanding of financial assets and the trade lifecycle, and foundational skills in Java, PL/SQL, and Linux. If you are passionate about delivering reliable application support and improving system performance, this role offers a fulfilling career opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Application Monitoring:Define and implement application monitoring solutions to ensure system health and availability.
  2. Proactively identify potential issues and resolve them before they impact operations.
  3. Level 2 Support:Provide Level 2 application support, handling complex issues that require in-depth analysis.
  4. Work closely with Level 1 support teams to ensure timely escalation and resolution.
  5. Incident and Request Management:Analyze, manage, and resolve incidents and requests related to the Calypso application.
  6. Ensure root cause analysis is performed and documented for recurring issues.
  7. Collaboration & Communication:Liaise with cross-functional teams, including development, infrastructure, and operations, to address technical challenges.
  8. Provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders regarding incident status and resolutions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Technical Expertise:Basic knowledge ofJava,PL/SQL, andLinuxenvironments.
  • Hands-on experience withCalypso version 16is required.
  • Domain Knowledge:Understanding offinancial assets(e.g., equities, derivatives, fixed income) and thetrade lifecycle.
  • Problem-Solving:Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Soft Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders.
  • Organized and proactive approach to managing incidents and requests.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree inInformation Technology,Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial services or a similar industry.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and frameworks to enhance system performance.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices for incident and request management.
