The successful candidate will define and execute efficient operational performance that will maximise performance and quality control of products from order to post delivery. This is a central kitchen. He or she will report to the Head Chef or Sous Chef

About the Job

• Prepare and bake a variety of cakes
• Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications, using various techniques
• Consult with clients and/or stakeholders to understand their needs
• Creating preliminary cake designs, including drawings or other mockups for approval
• Maintain ISO 22000 /HACCP/HALAL records as required
• Supervise the Commies Chef

The Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 5 years experience working pastry/cakes in a catering company, bakery, cake shops or the like
• Good knowledge of various cakes, pastries, cookies, chocolates and other desserts
• Comfortable in a fast-paced and rapid-growth environment
• Knowledge of local trends, taste and flavour profile is a bonusShould be able to finish Cakes [cream based , mousse based and cheese cakes ]
• Good time management skills
• Proactive and highly organised , able to work unsupervised
