Job Summary
Prepare and manage detailed construction and reinforcement shop drawings using AutoCAD, coordinating with engineers and architects to ensure compliance with Singapore standards and project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, RC shop drawings, construction plans, reinforcement layouts, excavation, and steelwork detailing based on issued designs and instructions
- Coordinate with design engineers and architects to ensure accurate and timely execution of drawings
- Produce precise 2D AutoCAD drawings aligned with project specifications
- Manage drawing revisions, maintain version control, and compile submission packages for project approval
- Ensure all drawings comply with Singapore standards and authorities requirements, including BCA, LTA, and PUB
- Liaise with Project Managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align design and execution plans
- Perform additional duties as assigned by superiors
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field
- Proficient in AutoCAD software (required) and MS Office applications
- Minimum 5 years of drafting experience, preferably in Singapore's construction or engineering consultancy sector
- Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and drafting conventions relevant to Singapore projects
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficiency in Revit or BIM tools
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in creating and reviewing technical drawings
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Effective communication skills to liaise with engineers, architects, and clients
