As the CAD Commercial Leader, Southeast Asia, you will lead a high-impact commercial organization, driving accelerated growth across one of the fastest-growing regions globally. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the commercial strategy to significantly outpace market growth, expand market share, and capture emerging opportunities across Southeast Asia.

The role operates as the regional business head for the division and partners closely with the Country General Managers across Southeast Asia to align commercial strategy, resource allocation, and growth priorities. The leader will ensure strong integration of divisional objectives within country strategies, driving alignment, accountability, and execution excellence across markets.

The role will lead a team spanning sales, applications, marketing, and channel management, ensuring strong alignment with Service and Global CAD Business Units. They will serve customers across Industrial markets, oil & gas, environmental, safety & security, nuclear, pharma, medical, academic & research

Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Intensity: commercial responsibility for the business, driving sustainable and aggressive revenue growth beyond market rates. The Head of CAD, Southeast Asia will develop and execute a robust go-to-market strategy tailored to the diverse and dynamic Southeast Asia markets, ensuring strong market penetration and share expansion. A key mandate is accelerating growth in high-potential segments, strengthening strategic account development, and identifying white-space opportunities and new applications that unlock incremental revenue streams across the region.

  • Strategic & Operational Excellence: strong commercial discipline and operational rigor. The CAD leader will build and sustain a high-quality, data-driven sales funnel with strong pipeline governance and forecast accuracy through effective utilization of SFDC. By identifying structural inefficiencies and resolving operational bottlenecks, the individual will improve sales productivity and scalability. The role will establish disciplined business review mechanisms, performance dashboards, and clearly defined commercial KPIs to ensure predictable and consistent performance across markets.

  • People Leadership & Organization Development: lead and develop a team of over 25 direct and matrix reports, building a high-performing and customer-centric regional organization. This individual will strengthen leadership capability, drive succession planning, and enhance bench strength across Southeast Asia. Through strong coaching, inclusive leadership, and clear accountability, the leader will foster a culture of collaboration, safety, engagement, and execution excellence, aligned with Thermo Fisher Scientific's 4i Values.

  • Customer & Market Engagement : This role carries responsibility for elevating customer satisfaction by enhancing the end-to-end customer experience and ensuring delivery of complete workflow solutions. The leader will build strong executive-level relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, strategic accounts, and channel partners, positioning Thermo Fisher as a trusted partner of choice. Close collaboration with Service and global Business Units will be essential to drive integrated solutions and maximize customer value.

  • Channel & Partner Management : optimize distributor and channel strategy across Southeast Asia to ensure effective market coverage and growth acceleration. The role will implement structured governance around pipeline transparency, inventory discipline, margin management, and demand generation processes. Through joint business planning and capability development, the leader will elevate partner performance and strengthen regional channel effectiveness.

  • Governance, Compliance & Reporting: This position requires strong governance and compliance oversight. The leader will provide structured MIS reporting covering market dynamics, competitive intelligence, forecast accuracy, and growth initiatives to the VPGM Southeast Asia, while working closely with Country General Managers across the region to ensure alignment and execution of divisional priorities. Operating with the highest standards of integrity and compliance, the individual will ensure all business practices align with Thermo Fisher Scientific's 4i Values and support sustainable, ethical growth across all Southeast Asia markets.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree with strong commercial experience, including in leadership roles with demonstrated P&L responsibility.
  • Proven success managing multi-country Southeast Asia markets is essential, along with the ability to scale businesses in high-growth environments.
  • The candidate must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex global matrix organization, working collaboratively with Global Division leaders and Southeast Asia Country General Managers.
  • Strong networking, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills are critical to aligning regional and global priorities and driving results..
