About the job

We are hiring a Backend C++ Developer for a leading Global Investment Bank on a fixed‑term contract (1 year) role in Singapore. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Sales & Trading Technology function, supporting mission‑critical systems built on a modern technology stack.

Overview

We're looking for a self‑motivated professional with strong backend engineering skills and experience in financial technology environments. You'll be hands‑on with design, development, troubleshooting, and support of trading systems, while collaborating closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend C++ components supporting sales and trading applications
  • Work across the broader technology stack, including .NET services, Kafka messaging pipelines, KDB+ data stores, and Python tooling
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across trading systems with strong logical and analytical thinking
  • Collaborate with trading desks, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions
  • Contribute across the full development lifecycle, from design and coding through testing and production support

What you'll need

  • Strong hands‑on C++ development skills
  • 3+ years of relevant working experience
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
  • Team player with strong self‑motivation

Nice to have

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Good understanding of AI/ML concepts and tools
  • Strong communication skills
