Institutional Buy-side Solutions Specialist
The Solutions Specialist will drive sales by building strong relationships, providing the highest level of service in specific subject matters and workflows to maximize client satisfaction and grow product deployment. As the primary focus is deployment of products and services, which inherently will drive Annual Subscription Value (ASV), it also means echoing a consistent message of partnering across FactSet teams to explore new and creative ways we can service our clients. The ideal candidate will be able to drive deployment where growth exists, and at the same time solidify our existing user base by partnering with sales and client solution generalists.
The Solutions Specialist will work closely with RCS team to establish plans and strategies to maximize ASV growth in assigned accounts with a specific emphasis on middle office workflows for different types of firms. The role will execute a client-centric approach and exhibit enterprise solution selling techniques.
What You'll Do
- Drive adoption and impact across a defined book of business by enabling clients to maximise value from FactSet's Front Office SolutionsRisk, Quant, Portfolio Management, and Research.
- Serve as a trusted workflow specialist, delivering best practices, technical demonstrations, and tailored solution designs that align with client investment processes.
- Partner closely with Sales, Consulting, and Product on opportunity strategy
- Lead technical conversations and demos, discovery discussions, and solution design with key stakeholders (portfolio managers, analysts, quants, CIO/Risk teams), ensuring FactSet's capabilities are clearly understood and successfully integrated.
- Gather and synthesize client workflow insights to influence product direction and ensure FactSet remains aligned with evolving market needs.
- Maintain an active understanding of the competitive landscape and articulate FactSet's differentiated value within the front-office ecosystem.
What We're Looking For
- 58 years of experience supporting front-office users or delivering analytical solutions in investment management or financial technology.
- Demonstrated proficiency with portfolio analytics, optimizers, simulations, risk models, or quantitative workflows.
- Hands-on with analytical tools, data models, and front-office systems, with prior experience in investment management or on the vendor side.
- Familiarity with Python and open-source environments (e.g., JupyterLab) to support analytical workflows is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of buy-side systematic research and portfolio management, spanning Asset Allocation, backtesting, portfolio optimization & simulation.
- Able to articulate how technology enables better investment decisions.
- Engages clients with insight: able to translate complex analytics into meaningful outcomes and guide conversations that deepen client trust.
- Collaborative, relationship-driven professional who thrives in a client-facing role and enjoys working cross-functionally to deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts and engage senior investment professionals.
- Strong commercial awareness and commitment to delivering measurable client value.
