Job Summary
We are seeking a sharp, driven Buyer to lead sourcing and purchasing of aluminium, alloys, and scrap from global manufacturers, ensuring cost-effective procurement and seamless supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
- Source and negotiate purchases of aluminium and related materials worldwide to secure optimal pricing and supply terms
- Monitor market trends including LME price fluctuations, manufacturer conversion rates, lead times, and freight costs to identify procurement opportunities
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while managing contracts from initiation through completion
- Coordinate cross-functionally with sales, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth trade execution and delivery
- Drive cost savings initiatives while maintaining quality standards and ensuring timely delivery of materials
- Execute purchase orders accurately in Microsoft BC365 and submit them for review and final approval by senior management
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma qualification or relevant certification in a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or contract manufacturing procurement
- Knowledge of procurement and supply chain principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft BC365
- Knowledge of raw materials and OEM processes

- Strong communication and negotiation skills demonstrated through supplier engagement and contract management
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively under pressure and take ownership of procurement responsibilities
