Job Description

Our client is one of the leading players in the Contract Manufacturing sector. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Buyer to be part of their Procurement team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the East.

Responsibilities of Buyer:

Manage sourcing of mechanical sheet metal components
Drive cost reduction through negotiations, alternative sourcing, localization, and supplier consolidation
Build and manage a strong supplier network, including key strategic partners
Identify design and value engineering opportunities for cost savings
Improve lead times, payment/delivery terms, and order quantities (MOQ/SPQ)
Ensure suppliers meet quality, cost, delivery, and capacity requirements
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams on sourcing activities
Monitor market trends and mitigate risks (e.g. EOL, single-source parts)
Support cost evaluation during NPI and engineering changes (ECN)
Work with engineering on design reviews and technical issue resolution
Support sourcing and supply readiness during build and initial production phases

Requirements:

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Min 5 years of sourcing experience in Machines Parts or Sheet Metal
