ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Business SystemsAnalyst to support Head Office-related systems and initiatives within a leadinginternational bank. The role sits within the Product Support Delivery (PSD)function and is responsible for managing system enhancements, change requests,and project coordination while ensuring effective communication and alignmentwith Head Office stakeholders.
The proposed role will support:
. HeadOffice system upgrade and enhancement projects
. OngoingBAU system support and change request (CR) management
. Coordinationbetween local teams and Head Office for system-related initiatives
This role requires strong business analysis,project coordination, and stakeholder management capabilities, with a key focuson supporting systems that involve Head Office. Proficiency in Japanese isessential to effectively communicate requirements, updates, and issues withHead Office stakeholders.
You will work closely with PSD PIC, business users,technology teams, and Head Office stakeholders to ensure system changes andprojects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business andoperational requirements.
Key Area of Responsibilities (KAR):
. SupportPSD PIC in leading and managing Head Office system-related upgrade andenhancement projects.
. Actas the key liaison between local teams and Head Office stakeholders, ensuringclear communication and alignment of requirements (in both English andJapanese).
. Overseeend-to-end project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, anddelivery of project and BAU activities.
. Manageand coordinate system change requests (CRs), including requirement gathering,impact assessment, prioritisation, tracking, and implementation.
. Developand maintain project and BAU plans covering scope, timelines, deliverables, andresource allocation.
. Collaboratewith stakeholders to gather and validate business, system, and BAUrequirements.
. Leadproject and BAU activities, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensuremilestones and deliverables are met.
. Identify,assess, and mitigate project and BAU risks, ensuring minimal disruption tooperations.
. Prepareand present regular status reports, including progress updates, risks, andissues to stakeholders.
. Facilitatemeetings such as project kick-offs, status updates, and requirement discussionsacross local and Head Office teams.
. Ensureproper documentation and quality checks for all deliverables, including reviewmaterials and process documentation.
. SupportPSD BAU activities on behalf of PSD PIC as required.
Basic Requirements
. Bachelor'sDegree or equivalent.
. Minimum5 years of experience in IT project management (PM/PMO), preferably within thebanking industry.
. Proficiencyin Japanese (business level or above) is required to communicate effectivelywith Head Office stakeholders.
. Strongunderstanding of system change request (CR) processes and experience managingsystem enhancements.
. Goodcommunication skills in English and Japanese (both written and verbal).
. Stronginterpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across teams andcultures.
. Analyticaland problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues.
. Strongorganisational and prioritisation skills.
. Experiencein software development or working with delivery teams is an advantage.
. Knowledgeof banking operations, especially Core Banking systems, is a plus.
Additional Strengths(optional)
. Experience working withJapanese banks or global banking institutions.
. Familiarity with projectmanagement and tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr, MS Project).
. Degree/Diploma in IT,Computer Science, Business, or related disciplines.
