Job Description

1. Job Overview

The Business Sales Executive (Learning Academy) is responsible for driving enterprise sales of Agape's WSQ-accredited and SkillsFuture-aligned training programmes to corporate clients in Singapore.

This role plays a critical function in positioning Agape as a trusted workforce development partner while ensuring all sales engagements are aligned with prevailing SSG funding guidelines and compliance expectations.

2. Key Responsibilities

2.1 Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Identify prospect, and develop new corporate clients, including SMEs, large enterprises, and strategic partners.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve assigned revenue and enrolment targets.
  • Drive employer-sponsored learner enrolments for WSQ-accredited and related training programmes.

2.2 End-to-End B2B Sales Management

  • Manage the full sales lifecycle, including:
  1. lead generation and outreach,
  2. client engagement and discovery,
  3. needs analysis and training gap identification,
  4. solutioning and course recommendation,
  5. proposal and quotation preparation,
  6. negotiation and deal closure,
  7. post-sale account servicing and retention.
  • Ensure timely follow-ups and structured pipeline progression.

2.3 Consultative Selling & Workforce Solutions

  • Engage HR, L&D leaders, and business stakeholders to understand workforce capability gaps and business needs.
  • Recommend training solutions aligned to job roles, productivity outcomes, and Skills Frameworks.
  • Position training as a strategic business investment rather than a transactional purchase.

2.4 SkillsFuture & SSG Framework Advisory

  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Singapore's SkillsFuture ecosystem and WSQ system.
  • Advise employers on relevant training support mechanisms for company-sponsored learners, including:
  1. course fee subsidies,
  2. Enhanced Training Support for SMEs,
  3. SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC), absentee payroll support,
  4. general grant-linked training processes and considerations.
  • Provide accurate, responsible guidance while coordinating with internal operations teams on final funding and compliance matters.

2.5 Market Development & Brand Representation

  • Represent Agape at networking events, industry engagements, and partnership platforms.
  • Build awareness of Agape's Learning Academy offerings within the corporate training market.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including HR leaders, business owners, and industry partners.

2.6 Proposal Development & Sales Conversion

  • Prepare tailored proposals, presentations, and training plans aligned with client needs.
  • Clearly articulate programme outcomes, delivery formats, and business impact.
  • Drive conversion through strong pitching, objection handling, and negotiation skills.

2.7 Internal Collaboration & Delivery Alignment

  • Work closely with trainers, programme operations, and the development team to ensure training solutions are feasible and aligned.
  • Ensure smooth transition from sales closure to programme delivery and administration.

2.8 Market Intelligence & Product Feedback

  • Monitor industry trends, workforce needs, and competitor activity.
  • Provide insights to support the development and refinement of WSQ and non-WSQ programmes.
  • Contribute to keeping Agape's course offerings relevant and market-driven.

2.9 Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client engagements.
  • Track sales performance and prepare regular pipeline and forecast reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation of client requirements and communication.

2.10 Compliance Awareness & Ethical Selling

  • Ensure all sales representations are accurate and aligned with prevailing SSG and SkillsFuture guidelines.
  • Avoid misrepresentation of funding eligibility, grant approval, or claims outcomes.
  • Escalate uncertainties related to funding or compliance appropriately.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Adult Education, Human Resource Development, or related field.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or corporate account management.
  • Strong track record in achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.
  • 3-5 years of experience in selling training, education, L&D solutions, HR services, or consultancy offerings.
