Our client is global investment firm with a strong presence in Singapore and the APAC region. They are looking for an experienced Business Risk Manager join their team. This is a newly created role under the firm's business operations risk division.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight of daily trading operations, including trade bookings, settlements and reconciliations.
- Partner with exchanges, custodians and liquidity providers to ensure smooth trade execution and settlements.
- Monitor operational risk, implement effective controls and drive governance across trading and the support functions.
- Lead cross functional projects across trading desks, operations, technology, finance and compliance to ensure strategic alignment.
Skills/Qualification:
- Minimum 4 to 7 years of experience in business risk or operations risk function. Have worked in financial institutions/technology companies before.
- Experienced in trading operations, operational risk or project management within fintech or financial markets.
- Knowledge of crypto market structure and financial products (Good to have, not compulsory)
- Proven track record in project management and process improvement
- Hybrid expertise: experienced in trading operations, operational risk and project delivery within crypto or fast-paced financial markets
- Project driver: Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional initiatives, deliver process improvements and manage stakeholders across trading, technology, compliance, finance and operations
- Analytical and detail-oriented: strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide actionable insights to the business management team and senior management
- Communicator and collaborator: clear, concise communicator who can bridge technical, operational and strategic
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python or data visualisation tools; exposure to APIs and trading systems is advantageous
