Description
This leading payments business operates an established digital payments and merchant acquiring business. As part of its continued growth and expansion, the client is recruiting for a highly commercial Business Product Manager, Online Payments, to be based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Owning the online payments business end to end, you will be responsible for its strategy, P&L, product portfolio and commercial performance. You will develop annual and multi-year plans covering revenue, transaction volumes, pricing, margins and investment priorities, while identifying attractive merchant segments and revenue opportunities. Working closely with sales, you will translate business objectives into commercial plans, establish targets and drive merchant acquisition, activation, transaction volumes and retention across enterprise, government and other priority segments. You will lead the product roadmap and full lifecycle management of online acquiring solutions, including card-not-present payments, gateways, QR payments, digital wallets and related merchant services. You will also develop strategic partnerships with banks, card schemes, software vendors, payment gateways, payment facilitators and other ecosystem participants. Collaborating with Technology, Operations, Risk, Finance, Legal and Marketing, you will ensure scalable product delivery, effective merchant onboarding and robust compliance with applicable regulatory, scheme, data protection and security requirements. You will lead and develop the product team while supporting key merchant and partner negotiations.
Qualifications
Degree qualified, you possess at least 10 years of payments experience, including a minimum of four years in online payments or card-not-present product and commercial roles. You have strong merchant acquiring experience and a proven track record of owning the P&L of a payments product or acquiring business. Direct acquiring exposure, including pricing, merchant economics, scheme fees, margins and commercial negotiation, is essential. You possess end-to-end online payments product management experience and a strong understanding of gateways, tokenisation, 3DS, QR payments, digital wallets and payment-facilitator models. Experience influencing sales teams to achieve revenue and volume targets is important. You are highly commercial, analytical and data-driven, with strong stakeholder management, partnership development and leadership capabilities. Familiarity with relevant payments regulations, scheme rules, PCI-DSS and AML/CFT requirements will be expected.
