Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Process Reengineering (BPR) Consultant to lead the redesign of workflows and operating models using AI-powered tools and methodologies. This role sits at the intersection of process transformation, change management, and capability building.

You will not only identify inefficiencies and redesign processes but also help teams adopt new ways of working through structured learning and enablement programmes. If you have a track record of delivering measurable process improvements and are excited about leveraging AI to drive operational excellence, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Business Process Reengineering (Core)

  • Lead end-to-end BPR engagements, including as-is process mapping, gap analysis, root cause identification, and to-be process design.

  • Identify opportunities to embed AI and automation tools into redesigned workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.

  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders across levels to gather requirements, validate findings, and co-design solutions.

  • Develop process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and governance frameworks to sustain improvements.

  • Measure and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time reduction, cost savings, error rates, and user adoption.

Change Management & Adoption

  • Develop and execute change management strategies to support process transformation (e.g., stakeholder analysis, communications, training).

  • Identify adoption blockers such as people readiness, data security concerns, or procedural misalignments, and recommend solutions.

  • Partner with leadership to build compelling change narratives tailored to different functions and contexts.

Capability Building & Enablement

  • Design and deliver learning materials (playbooks, guardrails, curricula) that help teams self-serve and embed new processes.

  • Facilitate practical workshops, clinics, and train-the-trainer sessions for officers, policymakers, and operations teams.

  • Support the creation of champions networks and communities of practice to sustain AI-driven process improvements.

Partnerships & Ecosystem

  • Coordinate with public agencies and industry partners to support transformation outcomes.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (HR, IT, Compliance, Operations) to ensure alignment and successful implementation.

Requirements

Mandatory

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Business Process Reengineering, Process Improvement, Transformation Consulting, or a related field.

  • Proven track record leading end-to-end BPR projects (as-is/to-be mapping, gap analysis, root cause analysis, process redesign).

  • Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of AI productivity tools (e.g., generative AI like ChatGPT, Copilot, or AI-powered process mining/automation tools).

  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse groups across seniority levels.

  • Excellent communication skills - able to translate complex process and technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders concurrently.

  • Proactive, collaborative, and takes ownership of outcomes.

Good to Have

  • Experience in the public sector, education, or workforce development domains.

  • Familiarity with Responsible AI principles (ethics, bias, data privacy).

  • Certifications in change management frameworks (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci).

  • Lean/Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), Agile, or Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum).

  • Experience using data and analytics to evaluate programme effectiveness.

  • Background in learning & development or instructional design is a plus.

What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)

  • Completed as-is process mapping for at least 2-3 key workflows.

  • Delivered 2-3 to-be process designs with identified AI/automation opportunities.

  • Developed and facilitated at least 2 enablement workshops or training sessions.

  • Established KPIs and baseline metrics for process improvements.

  • Stakeholder feedback reflects improved process clarity and adoption readiness.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
