- Business Operations Lead — The Summer Acai (Singapore)

The Summer Acai is Singapore's largest homegrown acai chain, built on bold branding, operational discipline, and a strong people culture. With multiple outlets and a fast-growing frontline team, we operate in a high-volume environment where clarity, consistency, and execution matter.
This is not a typical operations role. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of how the business runs at scale without step by step instruction — across supply chain, outlet systems, maintenance, and execution standards

(TLDR: YOU WILL DESIGN HOW THE BUSINESS OPERATES CONSISTENTLY ACROSS ALL OUTLETS)
Outlet Facilities, Equipment & Maintenance
- Oversee maintenance of all outlets (equipment, refrigeration, utilities)
- Build preventive maintenance systems and schedules
- Coordinate vendors for repairs and servicing
- Conduct audits and coordinate with Senior Outlet Managers to ensure outlets are fully operational and compliant
Operations Flow & Standards
- Ensure consistent SOP execution across all outlets
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and improve workflow processes across all outlets
- Conduct audits and implement corrective actions and preventive systems
- Work closely with People & Operations Lead to implement targeted training programs and with managers to uphold consistent standards.
Supply Chain & Logistics
- Manage adhoc procurement, inventory flow, and supplier coordination across outlets
- Ensure optimal stock levels (minimise stockouts and overstocking)
- Improve ordering systems, delivery processes, and cost efficiency
- Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks
Outlet Renovation & Enhancement Projects
- Manage new outlet setups, upgrades, and minor renovations
- Execute and process submissions required by Building Management, Mall Management, Singapore Food Agencies, and other relevant authorities for compliance.
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers, internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Improve layout efficiency and operational flow
Data, Reporting & Cost Control
- Track and report key operational metrics (inventory wastage, error rates, audit reports, output per labour, and other operational efficiency related metrics)
- Identify cost leakages and implement improvements
- Build simple dashboards / trackers for visibility across outlets
Crisis & Issue Management
- Handle urgent operational issues (breakdowns, supply disruptions, outlet issues)
- Resolve problems quickly and effectively with minimal escalation
- Implement preventive measures to reduce recurrence
- Ensure transparency across different functions and layers
Process Building & Documentation
- Develop and refine SOPs, audit frameworks, training programs and performance evaluation tests consistently
- Standardise processes while keeping them practical for ground teams
- Ensure documentation is clear and usable
