A Business Operation Analyst in a money exchange or Foreign Exchange acts as the bridge between day-to-day transaction processing, technology teams, and business strategy
They ensure that currency trading, settlements, and customer payments run efficiently, securely, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Execution & Monitoring: Managing end-to-end FX trade processing, ensuring accuracy in high-volume.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilizing analytical skills to evaluate trading metrics, identify inefficiencies, and prepare daily/weekly reports on liquidity, market activities, and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).
- Process Improvement & Technology: Collaborating with IT teams to enhance FX operations systems, implementing new fintech tools, conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and improving workflows.
- Risk & Compliance : Ensuring transactions adhere to regulatory requirements (e.g., OFAC, sanctions, anti-money laundering), investigating discrepancies, and managing trade amendments.

Required Skills
- Experience: Usually requires 4 years of experience in exchange operations, FX trading support, or financial services, although some roles accept fresh graduates with strong potential.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with electronic trading venues, FIX protocols, or API integration.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial instruments, FX, and regulatory compliance.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, strong analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills.
