Job Summary
The Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day business operations, managing recruitment and onboarding, coordinating with vendors, ensuring timely internal and external follow-ups, and establishing effective business processes and procedures.
The role requires a proactive, organized, and result-oriented professional who can independently manage operational activities, improve organizational efficiency, support management in decision-making, and ensure smooth coordination between employees, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Human Resource Management
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including identifying manpower requirements, posting job openings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating selections.
- Identify suitable candidates based on organizational requirements and job specifications.
- Coordinate with management and department heads to finalize recruitment requirements.s
- Ensure timely completion of joining formalities, documentation, and employee onboarding.ng
- Maintain recruitment records, employee information, and hiring status reports.
Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.s
- Obtain quotations, compare pricing, and assist management in vendor selection and negotiations.ns
- Monitor vendor performance, quality of deliverables, costs, and adherence to agreed timelines.nes
- Maintain vendor databases, agreements, purchase records, and communication logs.
- Ensure timely follow-ups for quotations, supplies, payments, and pending deliverables.
Internal and External Coordination & Follow-ups
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks, projects, and business activities.
- Follow up with employees and department heads regarding pending work, deadlines, and deliverables.s
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, consultants, and business partners
- Maintain a systematic follow-up mechanism to track commitments, outstanding tasks, and action items.
- Prepare regular status reports and escalate delays, operational challenges, and critical issues to management.
Establishment of Processes and Procedures
- Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for business operations and administrative activities.s
- Establish structured workflows, reporting systems, approval mechanisms, and accountability frameworks.
- Ensure employees understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Identify gaps in existing processes and implement corrective measures
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure consistency in the execution of business activities
Business Recommendations and Continuous Improvement
- Analyze existing business operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide practical recommendations to management for improving business processes, employee performance, and resource utilization.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and propose solutions to minimize delays and improve coordination.
- Introduce appropriate tools, tracking systems, and reporting mechanisms to improve operational transparency.y
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented improvements and recommend further corrective actions.ns
Employee Training, Onboarding and Follow-ups
- Develop and coordinate structured induction and onboarding programs for new employees.
- Ensure recruits understand their job responsibilities, company policies, processes, and reporting structures.
- Coordinate role-specific training and guide new employees during their initial employment period.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with recruits and their reporting managers to monitor progress, performance, and adaptation.
- Identify training requirements and coordinate additional training wherever necessary.
- Maintain training records, onboarding checklists, and employee progress reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Human Resources, or a related discipline. An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage
- 3–5 years of experience in business operations, administration, HR coordination, vendor management, or a similar role
- Experience in recruitment, employee onboarding, process development, and stakeholder coordination
- Experience in technology, IT services, project-based businesses, or a growing organization will be an advantage

- Ability to independently manage responsibilities and meet deadlines

- A proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
