Who We Are Looking For:

Reporting to the Business Development Director, the Business Manager is responsible for securing and retaining target client accounts through professional, consultative sales activities. Building trusted client relationships and an in-depth knowledge of key client accounts you will work closely with other members of the MedComms and Marketing Platform team, to propose high quality multi-channel solutions that exceed client expectations and financial targets. This is a sales target driven role for a proactive business development role. The role will service both APAC regional and Singapore clients as required.

What Impact You Will Make:

  • Instigate and lead business development activities for assigned accounts to achieve assigned order and revenue targets; develop account planning activities in collaboration with the account service team to identify growth and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Develop consultative relationships and a deep client understanding to drive organic account growth
  • Proactively source and progress new business leads (cold outreach, networking, industry events, partner referrals).
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and initiatives to support strategic account planning and ensure proposals are innovative and relevant
  • In partnership with other members of the MedComms and Marketing Platform team, develop consultative relationships and a deep client understanding to enable you to propose strategic multi-channel solutions that exceed client expectations and drive account growth
  • Facilitate, in conjunction with other key stakeholders, Master Services Agreements and preferred supplier status with all key accounts where applicable
  • Manage and coordinate RFI and RFP process, prepare detailed proposals and budget estimates and manage client and procurement negotiations whilst maintaining profitability

  • Develop and deliver new business pitches to senior client stakeholders in conjunction with other members of the MedComms and Marketing Platform team.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline forecasts; meet/exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

What Skills and Experience You will Bring:

  • 3 years of key account management experience ideally in a medical communications agency, pharmaceutical, consumer health or equivalent environment, preferably with digital experience.
  • Proven BD/ sales hunting track record in Advertising, MedComms or other publication solutions to pharmaceutical companies.
  • Comfortable working in a matrix environment and collaborating with creative/medical/digital teams Experience managing end-to-end proposal and negotiation processes (RFI/RFP, budgets, contracts).
  • Ability to work with others to develop winning multi-channel communications proposals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and client facing skills.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and result oriented.
  • Strong scientific curiosity with a university degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in a scientific subject preferred.

Preferred/ Nice to have

  • Regional client exposure (APAC/SEA) or experience supporting cross-border accounts.
  • Direct experience selling MedComms, advertising, digital solutions or publication services to pharma/healthcare clients.
  • Existing network within regional pharmaceutical/medical device procurement or marketing functions.
