Role Description

The Business Director plays a pivotal role in driving the Group's strategic agenda, corporate development initiatives, and cross-entity alignment across global operations.

Working closely with Group CEO/Chairman and Group CFO, the Business Director will act as a key strategic partner shaping growth priorities, evaluating M&A and partnership opportunities, and ensuring alignment between strategic intent and operational delivery. The role involves high-level coordination across leadership teams to execute group-wide initiatives and drive organizational effectiveness.

This role demands a self-starter mindset, strong analytical acumen, commercial insight, and the ability to translate strategy into execution across geographical markets and business units.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning & Corporate Development

Partner with the Group CEO/Chairman and Group CFO to formulate and execute the Group's strategic roadmap.

Support M&A evaluations, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, and new business development initiatives.

Conduct strategic and financial analyses, develop business cases, and track implementation outcomes.

Support the design of operating models and capital allocation strategies to enhance group performance and value creation.

2. Group-Level Coordination

Ensure alignment of strategies and initiatives across business divisions (e.g., IAM, wealth planning, asset management, private funds, trust services, family office, and advisory).

Project manage, drive cross-functional collaboration and performance management through regular business reviews with entity CEOs and business heads.

Support financial and strategic planning cycles, including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI monitoring, in partnership with the Finance team.

3. Strategic Partnerships & Business Expansion

Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that drive growth, digital innovation, and ecosystem expansion.

Support regional growth initiatives, ensuring market-entry strategies are aligned with group objectives.

Evaluate partnership structures, conduct commercial due diligence, drafting of agreements and manage key partner relationships alongside with senior management.

4. Executive Support & Ad Hoc Projects

Provide support to the Group CEO/Chairman and Group CFO on the preparation of board materials, investor presentations, and strategic communications.

Coordinate special projects, including capital market activities, fundraising, and strategic reviews.

Synthesize market intelligence and competitor benchmarking to inform strategic decisions.

Serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board to the leadership team on critical decisions.

Key Requirements:

Degree or Master's in Business, Finance, or Accounting

Strong understanding of financial services / wealth management

Technology-oriented, with ability to leverage AI tools and digital platforms

Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholders

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regional environment

Proficient in English and Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus
