Job Description

BUSINESS DIRECTOR
BLKJ Havas is looking for a Business Director who drives business growth, deepens senior client partnerships, and shapes the strategic direction of highvalue accounts. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, lead transformative work, and ensure the agency delivers innovative, awardwinning campaigns that create measurable business impact.

As a senior leader within the agency, you are accountable for commercial performance, strategic ambition, and building longterm value for both our clients and the business.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Direction

  • Define and drive strategic communications plans across multiple highvalue accounts, aligned to client business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Champion innovation and thought leadership by integrating emerging trends, AIdriven solutions, technology, and data into client strategies.
  • Oversee the development of holistic, integrated solutions across ATL, BTL, digital, social, experiential, and beyond.


Client Partnership & Business Growth

  • Build and nurture seniorlevel client relationships, positioning the agency as a strategic growth partner.
  • Identify and lead opportunities for organic growth, account expansion, and new business development.
  • Ensure longterm client satisfaction, retention, and commercial value through proactive leadership.


Commercial & Operational Excellence

  • Take full ownership of account profitability, including revenue forecasting, budget management, and margin optimisation.
  • Drive operational efficiency and scalable processes across account teams. Contribute to agencywide financial planning, performance reviews, and leadership discussions.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire your team members, building a culture of collaboration, creativity, and high performance.
  • Oversee resourcing, succession planning, and career development across teams.
  • Promote strong crossfunctional integration with creative, strategy, and production partners.

Creative & Campaign Oversight

  • Provide senior oversight and direction on all creative work and integrated campaign executions.
  • Lead highimpact workshops, ideation sessions, and seniorlevel client presentations.
  • Ensure postcampaign evaluations deliver actionable insights and clearly demonstrate ROI.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in integrated marketing or creative communications, with proven success in leading regional or multi-market accounts.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L and driving business growth.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and complex client portfolios.
  • Passion for creativity, innovation, and delivering measurable business results.
  • Familiarity with emerging marketing technologies, AI-driven solutions, data analytics, and performance-driven approaches.
