We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to be assigned to our 'Commercial Operations department located in Singapore Office;
WHAT AWAITS YOU
- Report to the APAC Business Development Manager and support business development activities across the APAC region.
- Conduct internal and external market assessments and contribute to strategy formulation aligned with corporate vision and objectives.
- Support analysis and development of recommendations for market entry and expansion opportunities.
- Research energy market trends, sector dynamics, challenges, and barriers to entry, identifying commercial and strategic risks and opportunities.
- Identify and support lead generation activities, including monitoring RFPs, tenders, bidding, procurement, and contracting opportunities.
- Support the end-to-end opportunity lifecycle, from identifying leads to preparing and finalizing proposals.
- Contribute to the development of feasibility studies, technical proposals, and commercial proposals by coordinating required inputs and analyses.
- Prepare business development documentation in English (presentations, proposals, term sheets, MoUs, contracts, etc.).
- Research and support the development of strategic partnerships and alliances.
- Build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders and position the company as a solution partner, over time.
- Coordinate internal teams and external advisors during business development efforts.
- Compile periodic market intelligence, opportunity pipeline, and project status reports for senior management.
- Coordinate and support marketing and networking events in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between client expectations and company capabilities.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Economics from a top-tier university; a Master's degree is a strong plus.
- Minimum 13 years of experience in business development, strategy, or related roles, preferably within the energy sector. Fresh university graduate may also apply.
- Strong passion for building a career in the energy industry and developing deep sector knowledge.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Functional experience in strategy planning, business development, project management, marketing/customer strategy, and financial planning & analysis; familiarity with contract management is a strong plus.
- Good understanding of energy market trends across Asia-Pacific, to be developed over time
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other MS Office tools.
- Strong presentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; adaptable in fast-paced environments.
- Results-driven, delivery-focused, and detail-oriented.
- International work experience is an asset.
- No restriction for international travel.
- Preferably a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Ability to start immediately.
