We are looking for a Sales Development Specialist in Singapore to lead business growth in the logistics and freight forwarding industry.
The Sales Development Specialist will work closely with country leadership and sector specialists to develop and execute targeted growth strategies, ensuring service excellence and competitive advantage in high-demand, high-impact industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement strategic plans to grow market share in the logistics and freight forwarding sectors.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective clients, particularly in upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
- Engage in the full business development from lead generation and RFQ participation to deal closure and contract negotiation.
- Develop tailored logistics solutions for complex oil & gas supply chain needs, including project cargo and charter operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients through regular performance reviews, operational updates, and strategic discussions.
- Work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with country and operational teams to ensure efficient service delivery aligned with client expectations.
- Lead and support local business development teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and align team objectives with strategic goals.
- Identify commercial and operational risks and work with management to mitigate them.
- Ensure all business activities adhere to internal controls, legal standards, and industry regulations.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in business development or commercial roles within the logistics or freight forwarding industry
- Solid understanding of project logistics, freight forwarding, and supply chain operations
- Strong experience in client engagement, contract negotiation, and solution selling.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
