Zenova Steel Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based underground engineering and construction company specializing in piling works, underground obstruction removal, ERSS works, controlled demolition, and foundation engineering solutions. We support major infrastructure and private sector projects across Singapore together with leading contractors and consultants in the construction industry.
We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Manager to expand our client network, secure new project opportunities, and strengthen Zenova Steel's market presence in Singapore's construction and geotechnical sector.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with consultants, developers, main contractors, and government-linked projects, and supporting tender strategy and project acquisition.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Singapore's construction industry and experience in project sales, business development, or tender management within civil engineering, geotechnical, demolition, or construction-related sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities within Singapore's construction and infrastructure market
Build and maintain strong relationships with:
Main contractors
Consultants
Developers
Government agencies
Project stakeholders
Source upcoming tenders and project opportunities related to:
Piling works
ERSS works
Underground obstruction removal
Controlled demolition
Foundation engineering
Coordinate with internal tender, engineering, and operations teams for proposal submissions
Attend project meetings, networking events, and industry functions
Conduct market research on competitors, pricing, and upcoming developments
Develop strategic partnerships and explore new market segments
Prepare business presentations, capability statements, and client proposals
Maintain CRM and weekly sales pipeline reports
Support management in achieving company revenue and growth targets
Follow up on quotations, negotiations, and project awards
Monitor client satisfaction and maintain long-term customer relationships
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Business, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business development or sales within the construction industry
Strong network within Singapore construction industry preferred
Knowledge of LTA, PUB, HDB, and private sector projects is an advantage
Understanding of tender process and construction project lifecycle
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, target-driven, and proactive personality
Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
