Job Description

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth and expanding market presence for Tat Meng (L) Food Manufacturer. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities strengthening relationships with existing clients and identifying new distribution channels across wholesalers, retailers, food service operators, and distributors. The position plays a key role in increasing sales volume while maintaining competitive pricing and consistent product quality.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement business development plans to increase sales of dried food products to wholesalers, retailers, food service operators and distributors.

2. Identify new market opportunities distribution channels and potential key accounts to expand the company's customer base.

3. Conduct regular market research on pricing trends, competitor products and customer demand to support strategic decision-making.

4. Lead sales negotiations, prepare quotations and finalize supply agreements while ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.

5. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to secure repeat orders and long-term contracts

6. Collaborate closely with production and operations teams to align customer demand with production capacity and delivery schedules.

7. Coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet regulatory requirements food safety standards and customer specifications.

8. Monitor sales performance, prepare forecasts and provide regular sales and market reports to management.

9. Work with internal teams to develop new product offerings packaging options or private-label solutions based on customer requirements.

10. Handle customer inquiries, feedback and complaints professionally ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
