Introduction:

We are partnering with a leading organisation in the logistics and supply chain industry to hire a Business Development Manager. This role focuses on driving strategic growth by securing new business opportunities and delivering tailored logistics solutions across complex and regulated sectors such as healthcare, aviation, and government.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven individual who thrives in a solution-selling environment, enjoys leading large pursuits, and has a strong ability to influence stakeholders across multiple levels.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Business Growth

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across targeted industries

  • Build and execute go-to-market strategies to expand market presence

  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure

Lead Strategic Sales Pursuits

  • Qualify opportunities and develop winning commercial strategies

  • Lead solution development, pricing, and proposal submissions

  • Manage complex sales cycles and negotiations with key decision-makers

Develop Market & Pipeline

  • Build and maintain a strong, high-quality sales pipeline

  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities

  • Engage senior stakeholders to create long-term partnerships

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Work closely with operations, solution design, and finance teams to deliver tailored solutions

  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure successful deal execution

  • Support continuous improvement of service offerings and value propositions

Governance & Performance Tracking

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting

  • Monitor KPIs such as conversion rates, revenue growth, and profitability

  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and commercial frameworks

What We're Looking For

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in business development or sales within logistics, supply chain, or related industries

  • Proven track record in B2B solution selling, preferably in 3PL / 4PL environments

  • Experience handling large or complex sales cycles, including proposal or tender submissions

  • Strong commercial acumen with knowledge of pricing, costing, and contract negotiation

Preferred Background

  • Exposure to industries such as healthcare, aviation, government, or other regulated sectors

  • Experience working in multinational or regional environments

  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels

Personal Attributes

  • Results-driven with strong ownership of sales outcomes

  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
